Intro to Club Penguin Armies

Welcome to my Club Penguin Armies shrine! This page is dedicated to the Global Defenders, an army I helped to found and lead for many years, and well past the time I had grown too old for playing Club Penguin. As someone who was sheltered from the Internet for most of my childhood, the GD was the first online community I was ever a part of, and the memories and experiences I had there shaped who I am today in more ways than I care to admit...
But... what are "Club Penguin Armies"?
If you don't know, Club Penguin was a penguin-themed MMO that ran from 2005 to 2017. After creating your penguin avatar, you could waddle around the island, dress up, decorate your igloo, play games and chat with buddies. And for some, that was enough. But where most saw little more than a chatroom, others saw a world to be fought for and conquered.
The Club Penguin Army (CPA) community was a group of hundreds of kids who had divided themselves up into innumerable competing factions. Each army was highly-organized, with shared uniforms, assigned ranks, rules and even governments. Each army laid claim to a handful of Club Penguin's servers as their territory, and would invade and even declare war on other armies to add to their empire. Armies developed intense rivalries with bitter enemies, and army leaders served not only as tacticians but also diplomats who forged alliances and negotiated peace.
It's a lot to explain how CPAs worked, both individually and as a community, so for now I'll keep it at that. If you want to learn more, please explore the shrine!

Pungy Edit: The Nachos are having a huge battle on Outback so the invasion of outback will be on the Klondike Server. It will still be for Outback. Also if you’re in nachos please take a break from the big battle and come to GD’s

A GD History in less than 240 words

As challenged by Jed the Water Viking:
Make an entire army history including 5 legends, its creation, and all generations, completed in less than 240 words.
Well, here it goes.
Long ago the greatest penguin of all time was Pungy and he started the PMA. he got a bunch of recruits, that among these were Ligit, Redd and Negi. The four of them tried to recruit but found out their army name was filtered. So they changed it to make it more bad ass, calling it the Global Defenders. Soon they recruited a whole herd and quickly grew stronger as a medium army. They had some wars with FGR and got Outback. A Senate was made but never worked. Jacknat02 came along and they recruited like crazy. There was a really small war with TT over Outback that GD won. Ligit retired but left GD with the Holy Pear. GD became a CPAC major army, lost it, then got it again. Then GD had some really lame wars with SWAT starting over Outback. GD lost almost all of them, but ended up sharing Outback and allying with SWAT. Redd became an awesome leader with Pungy but retired from inactivity. Negi became a leader, as did Hbk. There were a lot more leaders with Pungy, and GD almost died. Then Redd came back and saved the day with his fellow leaders and GD remained 1st Generation.
